The 2009 Primal Quest expedition race will take place in the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota from August 15-24. This will be the 6th edition of the event. South Dakota representatives invited the race to the state, which has diverse and trailless terrain suitable for the course. The 600+ mile race will consist of off-road travel, orienteering, mountain biking, trekking, climbing and caving. Registration for teams will open in November, costing $11,500 per team, $1,000 less than the previous race. T
