On montre, en considErant une plaque d'Epaisseur nulle, et ~ partir de la solution analytique dEduite en regime 6tabli, que le comportement de la couche limite therrnique se trouve beaucoup plus influenc6 par les phases locales de relaxation que par celles de rEchauffement. ©AcadErnie des Sciences/Elsevier, Paris ~coulement cisaill~ / convection forc~e / eouche limite thermique / flux variable ## Thermal boundary layer behaviour in a shear flow periodically heated in space at the waft The evolution in time of a thermal boundary layer generated at the interface shear flow/flat plate is studied by means of an integral method, when the plate is suddenly heated with a periodical flux density in space. From the deduced analytical steady state solution based on the use of a no-thickness plate hypothesis, it is shown that the thermal boundary layer is more influenced by spatial cooling phases than by heating phases.
