What is Sintering Effects on High-Entropy Silicide Ceramics about?

This study investigates the effect of different vacuum pressureless pre-sintering processes on the microstructure and mechanical properties of (Zr0.2Ta0.2Ti0.2Cr0.2Hf0.2)Si2 high-entropy silicide ceramics. The findings indicate that while the physical structure remains consistent, increased holding time during pre-sintering enhances densification and hardness, achieving a maximum hardness of 10.11 GPa at 1300 °C for 3 hours. This research provides valuable data for optimizing the preparation process of high
