Efficient MW Band-Stop Filter Design by nestor.escala7666 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
An efficient MW band-stop filter can reject unwanted AM radio frequencies between 457-1792 kHz from an HF receiver. The elliptic filter circuit provides high attenuation in the MW band while having a negligible effect on the 160m ham radio band. The design uses common inductors and capacitors to create a filter with a 65dB minimum attenuation between the cutoff frequencies. Winding inductors on T68-2 toroids rather than axial chokes can improve attenuation by around 10dB due to higher Q factors.
