This lab report summarizes experiments on heat transfer from cylindrical and tapered fins, and flow through a venturi meter. Temperature distributions were measured along cylindrical and tapered fins and compared to analytical results, showing good agreement. Heat transfer was higher for the tapered fin. Flow through a venturi meter was simulated at inlet velocities of 1.9, 5 and 10 m/s, and coefficient of discharge values near 1 were calculated, indicating accurate flow measurement.
