About this document
Growing and Curing Onions in Gardens by Brandes Mark Joseph is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Members of BSA 2H conducted a school gardening project where they divided into 4 groups, each growing a different crop. The group chose to grow onion leeks because of their short growing season. They encountered challenges with weather and plant deaths but managed to keep one onion plant alive. Through this project, the students learned important lessons about choosing good soil and growing conditions, planting methods like mulching, timing, spacing, care including watering and weeding, and harvesting crops
