About this document

Excited States of Perinaphthenone Study by robinson.alzatel is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study investigates the excited singlet and triplet states of perinaphthenone (PN) using electronic spectra and molecular orbital calculations. It was found that no phosphorescence occurs, and the reported phosphorescence is attributed to the emission of PN ketyl radical, with the triplet energy determined to be 164 kJ mol−1. The electronic nature of the lowest triplet state is identified as ππ*, and a linear relationship between triplet energy and D value is confirmed.
