1) A 1 month old female infant was admitted to the PICU with a history of upper respiratory tract infection symptoms, shortness of breath, cough and secretions. 2) The infant developed recurrent episodes of apnea and cyanosis requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation. 3) On examination on day 7, the infant remained intubated and on mechanical ventilation. A chest x-ray showed a wandering upper lobe lung collapse and the infant was producing copious secretions.
