What is Mozarabic Midnight Office about?

The Mozarabic Midnight Office consists of four main layers: an opening complex, a penitential and credal section, a central psalmody core, and a closing section. It features unique elements such as the repeated introduction by the celebrant and the use of Old Latin texts for psalms. The service is characterized by a significant emphasis on psalmody and penitential prayers, distinguishing it from the Roman Matins liturgy.
