The Smart Burglar Alarm is designed to help protect premises when owners cannot be there at all times. It uses a copper wire loop laid at entrance areas, and if an intruder breaks the loop it activates an alarm connected to the system. The alarm will sound until the system is turned off or the wire loop is reconnected. It works by using the conductivity of the copper wire to switch a transistor and turn the alarm on or off depending on whether the wire is intact or cut.
