About this document

7-T MRI Surrogate for Liver Fibrosis Histopathology by Ralph Tavares is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study demonstrates that 7-T MRI can serve as a surrogate for histopathology in assessing liver fibrosis, achieving high sensitivity and specificity. In a cohort of 15 patients, the MRI-METAVIR score correlated strongly with traditional histopathological assessments, allowing for accurate differentiation between advanced and minimal fibrosis. The findings suggest that high-field MRI may provide a non-invasive alternative for evaluating liver micro-architecture in clinical settings.
