What is The Castle of Earth and Embers (Briarwood Witches Book 1) about?
If you love fantasy, with witches and fae and a bit of spice thrown in then this book may be for you. It is a reverse harem with multiple PoV done in a way that it is very clear whose PoV you are following (even when not looking at the chapter headings). As a nerdy science girl, I loved the fact the main character was a science geek as it made her very relatable in some ways. I also love the world building and character progression in this story. Each have their own tragedies and the author makes you feel empathy towards all of the main characters. Such a strong opening to a series. There are some typos that haven't been picked up but hopefully these will be sorted before release. Cannot wait to see what happens next with the Briarwood Witches. Highly worth the read.
