This study analyzes adverse drug reactions (ADRs) related to amoxicillin and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid using data from an Italian spontaneous reporting database. It finds that while amoxicillin is associated with a higher percentage of skin reactions, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid has a significantly higher incidence of gastrointestinal, hepatic, and hematological reactions, including a notably increased risk of Stevens-Johnson syndrome and hepatitis.
