Manu Sharma shot and killed Jessica Lall, a celebrity barmaid, in 1999 after she refused to serve him alcohol at a crowded Delhi party. Many witnesses initially testified that Manu was the murderer. However, during the trial in 1999, four witnesses turned hostile and changed their stories. Additional issues emerged like altered cartridges and a missing murder weapon. It took years for Manu Sharma to ultimately be convicted and sentenced to life in prison, as approved by the Supreme Court of India in 2010. T
