What is Married To A Marquess about?

After her wedding day, Alice never saw her husband again. She must now take charge of her own life if she is to ever know happiness! Miss Alice Henstridge married the Marquess of Worthington when her father arranged the union. Although she had never met her future husband, Alice was always a dutiful daughter. On her wedding day, Lord Worthington hardly took one look at Alice before saying, 'I do.' Then, he sent her off to his country estate by herself. For three years, Alice has lived at her husbands home without even a visit from the marquess. Alice believes that her husband does not even remember what she looks like because he never lifted her veil during the wedding. She takes matters into her own hands and travels to London using a fake name to find out why her husband has ignored her for so long. With the help of her friends, Alice is welcomed into society under the false name of Lady Emma Taylor. Soon, she meets her husband and discovers his true character. Alice is determined to find happiness with or without her husband. Does the Marquess of Worthington deserve forgiveness after the deplorable way he treated her? Or, is he simply a rogue that does not deserve her affection?
