This study evaluated demographic and clinical factors associated with having Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders among 362 cancer patients admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU) at a comprehensive cancer center. The researchers found that only 15.2% of patients had DNR orders by the time of ICU discharge. In multivariate analysis, medical admissions were over 3 times more likely to have DNR orders than surgical admissions.
