What is Efecto Antifúngico de Los Quito-Oligosacáridos Con Diferentes Grados de Polimerización about?
This study investigates the antifungal effects of chito-oligosaccharides (CHOS) with varying degrees of polymerization against the pathogens Botrytis cinerea and Mucor piriformis. Results indicate that CHOS with degrees of polymerization 23 and 40 exhibit the highest inhibition of germination and growth of these fungi, while traditional chitosan and shorter CHOS were less effective. The findings suggest that CHOS could serve as a non-toxic alternative for plant protection against these pathogens.
