About this document

Nasal High Flow Therapy in Neonates by leu is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Nasal High Flow Therapy (NHF) is a non-invasive method for delivering heated and humidified oxygen to neonates, showing increasing evidence for its effectiveness in clinical practice. It can be utilized for stabilization at birth, post-extubation support, and as an alternative to prolonged CPAP, particularly for infants ≥ 28 weeks gestational age. NHF is associated with lower rates of nasal trauma and improved caregiver satisfaction compared to traditional CPAP therapy.
