What is 2014 Xu-Efficient Production of L-Lactic Acid Co-Feeding Cane Molasses and Glucose about?

This study presents an efficient co-feeding strategy for the production of L-lactic acid using cane molasses and glucose as carbon sources. The fermentation process achieved a high concentration of L-lactic acid (168.3 g/L) with a productivity of 2.1 g/L h and a yield of 0.88 g/g after 78 hours. The findings suggest that utilizing cane molasses can be a cost-effective alternative for L-lactic acid production due to its nutrient content and availability.
