About this document

Ifugao Musical Instruments Study by Tine Aquino is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This thesis examines a collection of traditional musical instruments from the Ifugao ethnic group in the northern Philippines. The author conducted a typological analysis of instruments archived from the early 20th century to the present, housed in various museums and institutions in the Philippines and United States. Fieldwork was also conducted in Ifugao to understand how the use of traditional instruments has changed over time. The study found that most traditional Ifugao instruments are no longer in use
