What is Filipino Caregivers about?

This study explores the lived experiences of Filipino mental health caregivers through phenomenological interviews to understand their intrinsic and extrinsic values. The caregivers revealed intrinsic values like empathy, intuition, courage and determination. Extrinsic values identified included kindness, justice, and positive outlook. The findings suggest that through a shared sense of self, both caregivers and patients can attain functionalism and maintain dignity.
