What is 2018 Open Source Survey Insights about?

The document summarizes key insights from a 2018 survey of over 1,200 professional open source users and developers. The survey found that: 1) Open source software is ubiquitous, with 92% of applications containing open source libraries, regardless of company or geographic location. 2) When evaluating open source libraries, professional users prioritize reliability/maintenance, an active community, security, and timely bug fixes - in that order. They care less about popularity, licensing, or new features
