About this document

Methane Reduction in Local Feed Evaluation by assefatadesse is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study evaluates the nutritive value of local browses and leaves for their potential to reduce methane emissions in vitro, using various plant materials. Results indicate that while Prosopis juliflora pods produced the highest methane, Cajanus cajan leaves showed the lowest emissions and good nutritional content. Supplementing poor quality forages with these local feeds could enhance livestock performance and mitigate methane production.
