When a magnet is moved in and out of a coil of wire, it induces a voltage in the coil. The experiment measured this induced voltage using a multimeter. Factors that affected the induced voltage included the magnetic field strength, rate of change of the magnetic flux through the coil, and number of turns in the coil.
