What is Fasciola 9572373 about?

This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of bovine fasciolosis and associated economic losses in Wolaita Soddo, Ethiopia. Fecal and postmortem liver samples were collected from 247 cattle. The overall prevalence of fasciolosis was 16.6% by fecal exam and 20.24% by liver exam. F. hepatica was more common than F. gigantica. Risk factors like sex, age and origin were assessed. Annual losses from liver condemnation due to fasciolosis were estimated at 1,505,856 ETB.
