What is Aldehyde and Ketone Formation in Ozonation about?
This study investigates the formation of aldehydes and ketones as by-products of ozonation in water treatment at the Beheshti plant in Hamadan, Iran. It was found that pre-ozonation increased the concentrations of these compounds, with formaldehyde and acetaldehyde being the most prevalent, while coagulation-filtration effectively removed them.
