What is Adaptive Load Balancing in AOMDV about?

This document summarizes a research paper that proposes an adaptive load-balancing approach for the AOMDV routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks. The approach balances network load by selectively dropping route request (RREQ) messages at intermediate nodes that are overloaded, based on a dynamically adjusted threshold. Simulation results showed the approach balanced network load overall and improved routing overhead and average end-to-end delay performance compared to AOMDV.
