This study evaluated the effectiveness of a very low dose of oral minoxidil (0.25 mg/day) for treating male pattern baldness in 25 men over 24 weeks. Hair density and new hairs were measured before and after treatment. While some individual patients saw improvements, statistical analysis did not show significant changes in hair parameters for the group overall. Side effects were mild.
