This study investigates nerve movement and mechanosensitivity of the median nerve in patients with chronic pain from whiplash and non-specific arm pain (NSAP). Using high-frequency ultrasound, it was found that both patient groups exhibited significantly reduced longitudinal nerve movement and altered mechanosensitivity compared to control subjects. The findings suggest that changes in nerve tension and mechanosensitivity may contribute to the symptoms experienced by these patients.
