Obwohl es ueber 70 jahre alt ist, der Sommerfeld ist nach wie vor ein empfehlenswertes Standardlehrbuch der Theoretischen Mechanik. Es kann gut als textbuch zu Kursvorlesungen der Theoretischen Physik" verwendet werden. Die Darstellung ist vollstaendig und stringent, da es nun so oft aufgelegt wurde sind kaum noch Tippfehler zu erwarten (ich habe keinen gefunden). Die Beispielaufgaben sind komplexer als in anderen Lehrbuechern. Was fehlt um es zum perfekten Lehrbuch zu mahcne sind moderne Entwicklungen wie dynamische Systeme.
