This study assessed endothelin-1 (ET-1) plasma levels, vascular endothelial dysfunction, and subclinical intraocular inflammation in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients. The study found that POAG patients had higher ET-1 plasma levels, lower flow-mediated dilation (FMD) indicating worse vascular endothelial dysfunction, and higher aqueous humor cellularity (FLARE) compared to healthy controls.
