About this document

FSH Test Report and Interpretation by Samsul Bahri is a document available to read on EtoBox.

FSH is secreted by the pituitary gland and controls the development of gonadal tissues in males and females. These tissues produce hormones through negative feedback that regulate FSH levels. Elevated FSH occurs when the gonads fail to mature or function properly, such as at menopause in females or with testicular failure in males. A blood sample is needed to measure FSH levels using an enhanced chemiluminescence method.
