What is Overview of the UK School System about?

The UK school system consists of two mandatory parts: primary school (ages 5-11) and secondary school (ages 11-16), culminating in the GCSE exam. Students can then choose to either leave school or continue to Sixth Form or College to prepare for A-Levels, which are important for university admission. Uniforms are commonly worn to promote community, and the academic year is divided into terms with various holiday breaks.
