This study used response surface methodology to optimize the extraction of total phenolic compounds from henna (Lawsonia inermis) leaves. Experiments were conducted to determine the effects of acetone concentration, extraction time, and extraction temperature on the yield of total phenolic content. The optimal extraction conditions found were 48.07% acetone concentration, 73.78 minutes extraction time, and 39.57°C extraction temperature.
