What is Leopoldo Osio: Jazz Pianist Profile about?

Venezuelan jazz pianist Leopoldo Osio was inspired to play piano from a young age by Venezuelan traditional music. He was introduced to jazz at age 14 by George Shearing and studied under jazz musician Ivo Farfan. Osio immersed himself in bebop artists like Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. He has performed extensively in Venezuela, Brazil, Ireland and other countries with both international and Venezuelan musicians. Currently based in Dublin, Osio is active as a jazz teacher and performer.
