What is Origins of Jaipur about?

The city of Jaipur, India was originally a plain cream color but was painted pink in the late 19th century. Maharaja Ram Singh II wanted to make a good impression for a visit from the Prince of Wales in 1876, so he experimented with painting different streets different colors. Terracotta pink was chosen for the main shopping area and became the defining color of the city, now known as the Pink City.
