What is The Blind Doe about?

The story tells the adventure of a young deer who goes blind after messing with a wasp nest to get its honey. Her mother takes her to a hunter to have her cured, but first, she asks for a letter of recommendation from the anteater, a friend of the hunter. The anteater gives the mother the dry head of a viper to show to the hunter. The hunter examines the blind deer and says that he will need patience to cure her.
