What is Linnaeus: Early Life and Education about?
Carl Linnaeus showed an early interest in botany. He was tutored in Latin and the sciences as a child. In his teenage years, he studied under botanists who encouraged his passion for plants. He attended the University of Lund at age 21 where he studied under Professor Kilian Stobæus and explored the flora of Skåne. On the advice of his mentor Rothman, Linnaeus then transferred to Uppsala University to further his medical and botanical studies under professors Olof Rudbeck the Younger and Lars Roberg.
