What is Safe Day-Case Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy about?
Day-case laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is a common minimally invasive surgery for gallbladder removal. This study evaluated the feasibility, benefits, and safety of performing LC as a same-day outpatient procedure at a hospital in Turkey between January 2009 and December 2009. Surgeons encouraged proposing day-case LC for eligible patients.
