Sedation Comparison in ICU: Midazolam vs Propofol vs Dexmedetomidine by solankiabhay005 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study compares the sedative effects of midazolam, propofol, and dexmedetomidine in 75 mechanically ventilated ICU patients with a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 12-15. All three drugs effectively maintained target sedation levels (RASS 0 to -2) and showed similar efficacy in terms of cardiorespiratory stability, although dexmedetomidine resulted in a more significant decrease in mean pulse rate and arterial pressure initially. The findings suggest that dexmedetomidine can achieve comparable sedation level
