What is Exploring Frieze Patterns in Nature about?

Mathematics can be viewed as the study of patterns. It involves analyzing different types of patterns, including number patterns, geometric patterns, and patterns found in nature. Mathematics is also concerned with isometries, or rigid transformations of objects in a plane that preserve distance and shape, such as translations, reflections, rotations, and glide reflections. The works of M.C. Escher frequently featured impossible constructions and transformations exploring symmetries and tessellation pattern
