What is Potassium Sorbate & Sodium Benzoate Blend about?

Kem BS is a preservative system for cosmetics containing sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate. It provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection for cosmetics with a pH below 5.5. Kem BS is soluble in water and glycerin, and is stable during storage and temperatures up to 80°C. It can be used between 0.2-1.0% in cosmetics like hair care products, body washes, makeup, and sunscreens. Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are widely approved preservatives allowing Kem BS to be used in cosmetics globally.
