What is Escape from the Haunted Mansion about?

The narrator and his two friends Jack and Peter explore an abandoned mansion despite being warned to stay out. Inside they find skeletons chained to the wall. As they venture deeper, Peter gets trapped behind a flipping wall. They try to escape but a fire starts and a pillar falls, trapping Jack. The narrator has to make the difficult decision to save himself and leave Jack behind as the mansion burns down around them.
