What is Modeling Solar Cell Performance Analysis about?
This 3D FEM simulation analyzes the bowing and residual stress of a solar cell with a boron back surface field (B-BSF) during the sintering process. The simulation is performed using Solidworks Simulation. It investigates how the thicknesses of the silicon wafer and B-BSF layer affect the bow level and stress state of the solar cell under different temperatures. The results show that a thinner wafer will increase both the bowing and residual stress. When the wafer thickness is below 140 μm, damage may occur
