What is Stephen Hawking about?
Stephen Hawking is a British physicist and mathematician born in 1942 who is considered one of the greatest theoretical physicists of the late 20th century. He has made major contributions to scientific knowledge about black holes and the origin and evolution of the universe through his research into the nature of space-time and its anomalies. Hawking attended St Albans High School for Girls and St Albans School before studying physics at University College, Oxford and astronomy at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
