About this document

Teradata Parallel Architecture Explained by Yoganand Anbazhakan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Teradata uses parallel processing across multiple processors (AMPs) to allow for unlimited users, scalability, and power. Each AMP can work independently and in parallel with other AMPs to process large amounts of data simultaneously. The BYNET communication network connects all the AMPs and allows the parsing engine (PE) to distribute SQL queries and retrieve and send data between the AMPs and PE without issue even as the system scales to more AMPs.
