About this document

Triplex Mud Pump Operation and Specs by Mohsin Awan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The mud pumps used on oil rigs are triplex pumps that have three pistons. The mud is drawn into the pumps from mud tanks and pressurized before entering the suction module of each piston chamber. Non-return valves allow mud to flow into the chamber during the suction stroke and out of the chamber during the discharge stroke. Pulsation dampeners, pressure relief valves, and bleed valves are installed on the discharge line to control pressure and flow. The pistons are lined with rubber and cooled with water l
