What is Load Case Span and Bearing Diagrams about?

This document shows six load cases for calculating the uniform bearing load on soil from a structure. Load Case 1 shows a centered point load over a 6 foot span. Load Case 2 shows two equal point loads spaced 4.5 feet from the center of a 9 foot span. Load Case 3 shows an off-center point load over a varying span length L. Load Cases 4-6 show two equal point loads spaced at varying distances from the center of spans of varying lengths.
