The document describes a project to build a JFET audio preamplifier circuit to amplify the signal from a piezo guitar pickup glued inside an acoustic guitar. The author salvaged a piezo element from a vacuum cleaner and connected it to a 1/4" audio jack mounted on the guitar. The circuit is built on a breadboard and powers the piezo successfully, but hum is present that may be reduced by building the circuit on a printed circuit board inside a shielded enclosure. The schematic and parts list are provided.
