What is Riverside about?

Riverside Police Department is joining the Illinois Click It or Ticket campaign from May 11-25 to crack down on motorists not wearing seatbelts. During the 2014 Memorial Day weekend in Illinois, there were 12 traffic fatalities including 3 alcohol-related deaths. The campaign aims to increase seatbelt usage rates as rear seat usage was only 84% compared to 94.1% for front seats. Officers will ticket both front and rear seat occupants not buckled up to encourage seatbelt use and save lives.
